All day yesterday, Windows Update was using upwards of 11 GB of RAM and throwing Green Screens of Death. It turns out Microsoft encrypted the Windows 10 Insider build update accidentally. It now looks as though they've fixed it, and I can finally use my laptop again.

@earfolds I knew there was a reason I only run Windows in a VM. :fedora:

@hack13 I'm sadly stuck on Windows for a while because my laptop has a broken screen, and I can't access the BIOS settings to disable Secure Boot. If I left Linux as the default, any update to the kernel would have bricked my laptop.

@earfolds ouch, also it is not a big deal. I think people should run what OS works best for them.

@hack13 true, though in my case that's been Linux since around 2001.
